Do Something Nice:

Yes, things are tight this year; very, very tight. But while you're shopping this holiday season, if you can find a few extra dollars, this a great cause. You can select a local hospital to donate to or make a general donation. You can even buy gifts to donate via wishlists

Getting that "Your user privileges do not allow Fireworks to update your registry..." Error?

So, are you getting that "Your user privileges do not allow Fireworks to update your registry..." error too? Annoying, isn't it?
Yea, I agree. And, like you I'm sure, it's been one of those things I wanted to look into "next time I had a spare minute" - like that ever happens.
So, I sucked it up, dug in, and found the (ok, *a*) solution.
Here ya go:
  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Find your Fireworks.exe file (On my Windows 7 system, I found mine here: \Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS5.1)
  3. Right-click on it, select Run As and choose an administrator account.
  4. Click ok.
Easy peasy. Of course, even easier would be never having the problem, right? ;-)

testing a voice posting

This is my first test trying to do a posting using the voice on the Galaxy Tab. So far I have to say this is working pretty well! so far the only change I've had to make has been to add capitalization and periods. I guess I need to research and see if there's a way to handle capitalization and punctuation.

Beating Cabin Fever: Reading List

OMG, this winter is kicking butts and taking names! One of the ways I cope is to curl up with a cup of warm cider and a few good books. Here are a few I think everyone should read at some point:
